Today we had the pleasure to host the new Secretary General of Caritas Internationalis, Alistair Dutton 🫶
In Warsaw, the Secretary General met with the employees of Caritas Poland and visited our Migrant and Refugee Assistance Center.
“We are all very proud and grateful to Caritas Poland for the incredible work that you do here in Poland year and year out, providing services for your own people in your country. And of course we were very moved and grateful by the way you received the Ukrainian refugees so warmly last year. Caritas Poland has welcomed them into their arms and has provided the services they need continually from that time. Thank you and keep up the good work”, said Alister Dutton.
Earlier, the Secretary General of #CaritasInternationalis, took part in a meeting at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, attended by: Piotr Ćwik – Deputy Chief of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Zdzisław Sokal – Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland, Hani El-Mahdi – Regional Director at Catholic Relief Services (CRS), as well as Ireneusz Krause – Deputy Director of #CaritasPolska. The meeting centered around the current situation and the humanitarian aid provided by Caritas in Ukraine.
